There aren't any TR/Ascension or really any EQ vets who're unaware of this, but to whomever the OP may be (clearly did not play on live) - Trakanon raids are tricky because of the Juggernauts on the way into Trak's lair. 7/10 times you'll likely, as the first raid party to get to the ramp leading to Trak/Prot/Tola, need to decide whether you're going to engage maybe buffless, oom, relatively unprepared or wait that extra 2-3 minutes and have a 99% chance of getting leap frogged. It's the nature of the beast, herego an attempt to drop Trak with so few.

NM...doesn't matter how long you wait. If the mob is at 10% and about to die TR will just train you then anyways.

This. Also, I called the shot to engage. I saw TR's zerg around the corner, and was under the impression (based on the ventrilo chimes) that people were logging in, similar to how they were logging in to ventrilo. Figured, shit, may as well give it a stab in hopes that people would join the fight gradually. I knew it was a shot in the dark, but hell - was worth it to me. We didn't wait for 50, and we didn't wait until TR engaged first. Pixels killed or not, we learned a bit about the fight that we didn't really know (on this server, anyway). There is always next week.
