Guys the goal of this project is to emulate the 1999 game experience.
Literally anything staff can do to force all players into OG mode will be done as soon as they can figure out how to do it. If they could limit your bandwidth to 56k and then bring it to DSL in 2001 era to roughly emulate actual connection limitations of the time, they absolutely would. If they could make the game run perfectly and then ALWAYS CRASH when you alt + tab they absolutely would. I bet my life on it 1000% Don't be surprised if stuff gets more classic.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, sadly the p99 community is toxic to players not from the era, or trying to experience the game for the first time.
P99 was like some strange alternate universe where things were almost right but just kinda off somehow. Enjoy your time portal and know I envy you for being able to see the world you adore. I wish I could log into mine. Sorry for being a "petulant ass" hehe. I get passionate about EQ, not like you guys would understand. /s | ||

Pretty sure they were disabled because collision works differently on the new models. Ogres and Trolls can get places they shouldn't be able when if Luclin models are used.
Someone mentioned that the new lighting was wonky with Luclin models and Rogean was like "Huh, we disabled those, didn't we?". He apparently found a better way to disable them. | ||
