Only Sullon Zek teams though, Vallon/Tallon (race wars) wasn't nearly as cool as the religious teams. Veeshan Monks and enchanters having to pick a religion is great.

The magic number of a classic server is around 500 people, just pick the server that's closest to that and you're all set.
I'd specify primetime numbers of 500 for vanilla, 800 for kunark, and 1200 for velious assuming the appropriate timelines have been followed.

Teal was great at first, but now it's getting rough at primetime and I'm finding myself not logging in. The hybrid struggle is real when you zone in MM and there's 2 other hybrids lfg (including another bard) and all the solo spots are taken on the continent.

At least Peaky Blinders is a great substitute for entertainment when you only have about an hour or so to give, so I can be patient for things to get better.

cheers,

Astuce

I have about an hour to play at a time. I am on Faydwer. I come with a 40% xp penalty. All the camps are taken, and there are 2-4 other lfg'ers that are more "attractive" to groups for eventual spots.

I'm sure if I waited 20-40 minutes I would eventually get a group, but that's almost all my playtime. I can't solo in the meantime because all the camps are taken. So I prefer to do something else with that one hour.

It's my problem, and if I had 3-10 hours to play consecutively per day it wouldn't be a major issue.

cheers,

Astuce

You start splitting servers you kill the population. Eventually people stop playing and the good population split into 2 turns into ok population at the start, and 6 months in turns into dead zones population.

Playing for only an hour at a time is the very definition of casual play. Spawn timers are like 28 minutes in a lot of places. Classic Everquest just isn't the game for you sorry. Try Everquest 2.

People who only want to "play an hour" shouldn't play any MMO at all as their progress will show. Esp in only an hour a day of play time.

I mean, an hour a day of planned execution can be more “rewarding” (open ended term) than four hours of putting the “ever” in EverQuest. At 55, I can get 4-5% of exp on 6-min spawns, if I’m prepared for it, in an hour. I got 4% just today, on Blue.

That being said, if you don’t have 20 years of insight fueling your play time, one hour can easily be wasted in Guk, doing F-all, watching 24+ minute spawns vanish while sexy woodelves are slaughtering frogs in front of your eyes.

Not sure what I’m trying to prove, but I think I proved it!

You can't karma farm on p99 forums, Swish. Everyone knows you have the most calories burnt by posting just from viewing the front page. Anyone even trying to argue about making a third server for manastones despite the fact that some classes don't even have a use for it is part of the problem, not the solution. Those people certainly don't have an answer for any problem, imagined or real.

I can't imagine being so pixel hungry that I'd want a third server just for the enchanters/shamans who don't have a manastone. It would be less ridiculous to suggest a /manastone command that spawns you a free no-drop manastone than to split the community again.

All I know is I can't wait to see how Fungus Staff and pained soul and rotting skeleton and Chancellor Di'Zok all play out. Will we have lists for Verina Tomb? Will everyone ever finally realize that the classic timeline is working AGAINST their dreams of "experiencing all the things they didn't get to on blue" instead of for it?

Lol.

No more than people who think they know exactly why every person plays green will realize that they don't know why every person plays green. I don't play it for manastones, epics and server firsts, despite the egregious amount of 900 IQ genius-tier threads and posts suggesting that this is the only reason people play green.

Btw, it's not a classic timeline working against their dream, it's two decades of hindsight and knowledge working against their dreams. The dream itself is totally viable. You could port to Sro, run to LGuk and get a manastone/guise within 20 minutes. In a dream.
