there’s a guy like pic related that hasn’t left the same spot since fall 2019 on the way to my lunch spots

always fills me with terror and sadness when i approach his “territory” hoping he’s not there

but of course, he’s still still there; alive, alone, among his blankets and cardboard boxes somehow survived another year of season changes

i would wish such a fate on no one
