And before anyone says that the AZ republic was already liberal or leaning liberal before it was bought out by a liberal corporation years ago, I’d challenge as to how much of it they read

I followed my local paper/online news for 10+ years, including being featured in it in 2013 for being crazy enough to hike one of the most challenging hikes in the area in 110 degree heat (I was the only person there to photo)

I definitely wrote them an angry email or two when they flipped and became a liberal propaganda mill after being bought out. What do you think helped az go blue?

Nah trump being an idiot really alienated those of us who weren’t broken individuals and had something to lose. I’d rather my children live in a center left democracy than an authoritarian society like the one I grew up in

Trump delenda est

I honestly don't know if Trump would have been played by the Generals successfully or not. he definitely was played at first. But when it came clear he wasn't going to maintain power a second term -- even as he was publicly adamant about the prospects of his legal case -- he seemed to be pushing a Biden-style withdraw. He just didn't really have the time to pull it off.

Now Trump has obviously came out and said Biden messed up the withdraw he left him. We would have left and everything would have been much better under his watch he assures us. What world do you imagine Trump not saying this? There are two possibilities

1) He would have done more or less the same thing. He just would have been much better at spinning it in the media. Not only that, but the Trump worship media that's been cropping up like NewsMax would have 100% backed him even if Fox didn't. There is no NewsMax for the Biden left.

2) He would have been played by the generals just like Obama and stayed forever. Only to angrily criticize the guy that finally had the balls to get us out. Just like Obama who is now embarrassed how much he obviously fucked up the Afghanistan situation for everyone to see.

These guys didn't have the balls to take the negative news cycle. And they should be seen as the pathetic excuse makers that they are. Even if Biden fucked up the particulars of withdraw -- he's going to come out way ahead because he prevented years more of squandered resources on the confused Afghanistan project. Unfortunately for him, the dumbos will never understand these multiple negative realities that he avoided -- and just blame him for the bad that has happened.

I'm not a big Biden supporter but I believe in giving credit when it is due.

Killing babies is bad. I'm technically pro-choice because I support abortion for like the first month. But after that nah.
