Default P99 on Macbook - Won't Open

Hi beautiful people. I'm coming back to P99 after years away. As expected, my spell file was out of date. I went to the P99 website, downloaded the latest patch files, and copied them into the fake Windows folder through Wineskin. Now, when I open the game through Wineskin, the screen flickers (as it always had), appearing to launch the process, but then the little icon in the tray disappears and nothing happens. It just fails to open the game completely now.

I did a little test run on Wineskin and got the following errors, which mean nothing to a lummox such as myself. Hoping one of you tech whizzes can help a brother out and let me know what needs to be done here.

Copy pasta from Wineskin error log:
err:module:attach_process_dlls "DSETUP.dll" failed to initialize, aborting
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\Program Files\\EverQuest Project 1999\\eqgame.exe" failed, status c0000005

Thanks for reading! Hope to see y'all in Norrath soon!

Thanks for the reply! I'm trying to play it on a macbook air.

I tried updating Wine and macOS to High Sierra, which seemed to let me open the game while trying to execute it in WineWrapper, however none of the textures in-game loaded and my character was just floating in the abyss.

I looked into using parallel desktop, but apparently the Win10 OS would require over 100GB, which I don't have available (or even close) on the tiny lil macbook air.

Are there other alternatives to Wine and Parallel that don't suck?

Cheers
