He was asking if I saw the play. I had heard about the play, which was a hard hit by a helmet to the chest. Sudden cardiac arrest in NFL FOOTBALL from a hard hit to the chest is not common at all Also, is it common for someone to say they don’t want to answer about the reason the doctors provided to them? Why not just say sudden cardiac arrest from a hit from a helmet if that was the reason But yes, cardiac arrests in sports do happen, seemingly far more often these days than before

Also, it’s a shame this game and forum won’t exist long enough to see which of us live the longest due to our lifestyle choices

at no point did i use the word "common," as sudden cardiac arrest in sport is quite rare, though again it has been a noted occurrence throughout human history. idk why anyone would waste their time in conspiracy thought about why a football player chose not to answer a question and idgaf about that whole topic on the whole. seems like a pointless thing to spend time pondering. like i'm looking at the hierarchy of evidence graphics here for "things football players didn't say on TV" and it's just not there *shrug* we have data concerning sudden cardiac arrest in sport that was admittedly bad in decades past. we also have the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data, which tells us that cardiac arrest following vaccination for covid is extremely rare; and actually lower than cardiac arrest following covid infection. Like I said before, when I first heard of the heart attack I wondered if it was following a hit to the chest. So I looked it up, and sure enough it was. That’s why I assumed it happened. I didn’t realize at the time that while cardiac arrests in sports happen, they are actually extremely rare in the NFL, despite people being hit in the chest brutally fairly often But I still wasn’t putting on a tinfoil hat until they interviewed the player and he said he doesn’t want to provide the reason for the heart attack, and clarified that he has no known history of heart issues and that’s something they check for in the NFL So like I said before, I assumed it was a typical sports related cardiac arrest or due to the hit UNTIL the player said he didn’t want to provide the reason given by the doctors. While that is suspect to me, I still offered possible reasons such as not wanting to jeopardize his career by revealing a heart condition, although the NFL checks for these and will likely find out eventually If someone says they don’t want to provide a reason for something, and many of us think that sounds a little suspicious and imagine worst-case scenarios, then promptly get locked and attacked for that line of thinking, then yes, it does sound like the world is going a little crazy. We just seem to disagree on how and why

Lastly as someone who has had both unvaxxed natural covid and the vaxx after, I think it’s perfectly fair to be concerned about BOTH’s affect on my heart. What I can pretty much guarantee is that neither made my heart stronger and healthier. They either had no effect, or they made it worse in some way
And seeing all these died suddenly’s in the news is not helping my comfort level as an athlete who regularly does fairly high intensity cardio. Call me crazy…
