Criteria for a recession is -20% over two, three? days?

I might have the word wrong. But it's a bad economy word.

think it has something to do with growth over two quarters or something to actually qualify for recession or stagflation or w/e

A market correction, in finance, is a significant decline in the overall value of a market, typically defined as a drop of 10% or more from a recent peak, but less than the 20% decline that characterizes a bear market.

That sounds like they aren't gonna back off no matter what disaster comes.

Does the top 10% own 93% of stocks?

Yes, according to the latest available data from the Federal Reserve, as of the third quarter of 2023, the top 10% of Americans by wealth owned approximately 93% of the total value of corporate equities and mutual fund shares held by U.S. households. This figure reflects the significant concentration of stock ownership among the wealthiest segment of the population. The bottom 90%, by comparison, held just 7% of the total stock value during the same period. This distribution has been relatively stable in recent years, though it can fluctuate slightly with market conditions and economic shifts.

>become such a dominant economic powerhouse that the entire world trades in and stockpiles your currency
>this makes your currency extremely valuable compared to other currencies
>strong dollar means it's really cheap to import from most places.... and also kind of expensive to export to them
>basically a big pyramid scheme where the entire world fills our insatiable demand for cheap bullshit in exchange for our printed dollarydoos
>"Hey why is nobody making anything here >=("
>Try to crash your own global pyramid scheme by making petrodollars even harder to get
