Hey all.
I've recently attempted to come back after a long hiatus away from P99, and rolled an enchanter. As it turns out, I don't have nearly as much playtime as I used to, and I dont even have as much play time as I thought I would. I'm really limited to about 4-6 hours per week these days. Besides monk (which seems like the obvious choice), which class could be fun to log in for an hour or so at a time? I tried an Enchanter: but the time spent setting up and medding to use charm soaked up nearly all of my time. I hit a big wall around level 30 and just couldn't seem to make meaningful progress playing 1 - 1.5 hours tops. Monk seems like its able to do that better (with twink gear, of which I have funds available) But are there any other suggestions I may be overlooking? Thanks

Necros are so much fun. You can charm, feign death (when it works), kite, siphon... They are probably my favorite class I've ever played because of all the things they are capable of doing. Just be aware of the Iksar racial penalty if you go that route (it's worth it).
Cabilis has a great starting area too.

Play any class and race you feel like. I am a human wizard, and even though certain people think thats not the best class/race combo its been alot of fun.

Shamans are pretty good at making progress within an hour, assuming you aren't trying to kill something deep within a dungeon. They are quite safe with slow, root, dots, and gate. Power-wise they are probably the second strongest solo class when you hit level 60 and get Torpor. If you have enough money for serious twinking (Fungi Tunic, Fungi Staff, JBB, Haste Item, and the best melee weapons a shaman can wield), you'll be able to level up pretty fast.
Twinked Monks do level quite fast from 1-50. With Fungi Tunic, Seahorse Belt, and IFS, I was getting like 1 level an hour on average from 30-50. It was probably faster from levels 1-29. But Monks will have less solo options as they approach 60 compared to a Shaman. Fully raid geared monks can do a lot of cool stuff, but it sounds like that isn't an option.

Mage is a fun class that is pretty good at soloing and also plays well in groups when you have the time. You can drop a damage shield on the pet and nuke at a distance while he does his thing.

Thanks all. Will consider the suggestions.
I am also starting to think that I Just haven't got the time to play Project 1999 these days and it's time to move on.. But maybe I will choose one of these classes and give it one last go!
