I appreciate all the legitimate responses, quite a lot of good suggestions. As DeathsSilkyMist explained - The nukes aren't great at level 30, and there are more charm breaks - so sometimes after a fight I'm out 30% or more mana. After 4-5 of those, I'm completely OOM and need to med for a while. So, with an hour of playtime, I get about 10 kills total before I need to log and do something else.

In a group, it's wonderful. I don't have to break charm, and I can have someone else tank so that my pet doesn't need to be replaced. But, I've had luck finding groups about 20% of my playtime (mostly because I have had bad luck going to "populated" zones where there are no spots in group)

The other downside of grouping is that after 30 minutes of nonstop action, I wind up with about 5% exp, and then I've gotta log. I grouped for the first half of level 30, and after 2 weeks of my limited playtime, I had 45% exp through 30.

And if you grunt through the shit now, by the time you're 50 you'll outpace any other class (except for maybe bard swarming, but to hell w/ that nonsense)...and you'll be able to do solo stuff no other class can.

Sometimes its ok to just eat a 50% XP kill, too. Also remember pet sit is pretty nice to even out a fight. Don't bother w/ torches or haste.

Mage was easily the most chill leveling experience. Get all your fire pet spells, focus torch, and malachites and you’re set. Fire pet ds is neutral dmg so you only need to out dps your pet which is usually like 2 nukes. If you don’t feel like researching can try to buy the fire pet spells.

Why are you posting on a public forum if you expect everybody to ignore your post?
Lol what... I told him to quit if it was to hard for him. You quote me and post multiple paragraphs explaining how to play an enchanter. I never asked you anything about enchanter. Weirdo

Yeah that's a good point. All the cool kids do it but that's a lvl 60 thing when you don't care about dying. At lower levels it is one or the other really if you want a chance at surviving a bad break. But even then your option to even out fights should be a cheap slow when needed, much less dangerous.

On a similar note, dungeon crawling is fun, the loot and zem are generally better but killing outside is so much easier when you can just hang out beyond max range and recharm before the mob who broke charm reaches you.

Guy says he can only play an hour a day and enchanter requires a lot more time commitment. This is true. You say quit. Because you are a cunt. You will die alone.

I rolled a monk a few years ago because I was in a similar situation. I had very limited play time, and I wanted a class that could just log in, get a few kills then log out whenever (without having to spend time getting to a safe spot) so Monk was the best choice.

ENC, SHM, NEC are all great -but they really start taking off post level 30. Any melee twink will have a good time sub level 30 (especially with limited play time) but Monk does it best. Ranger is also super fun. Paladin is a bit tougher because of lack of invis, you're limited to spots to hunt in. Same with warrior, but a twinked warrior is a powerhouse

If you have a Fungi and good weapons, any melee (including Warrior) can solo just fine until at least level 30. I have a gnome Warrior I soloed to 24 with an Iksar Ceremonial Chestplate and some cheap weapons like wurmslayer + fist of zek. I just went to the normal places like Oasis of Marr, Unrest, Guk, etc. Lower level mobs don't have a lot of HP, so good weapons will just chainsaw them down, and fungi will keep your HP up.

I might give monk a shot. To be honest: I'm really clinging onto my memories of playing p99 lol. Life has changed for me, and my formerly 10-12 hours a week to sit and play have been reduced to 4-6 on average. Unfortunately, that means I can't get much done besides very casual playing. I can't even commit to a group for more than an hour. Fortunately, I still have my plat and items from years ago on Green to twink a monk.
