Smile 51+ monk solo leveling ideas

So after coming back to Green after several years away from the game, I dusted off my 51 human monk and equipped it with some good gear:
- Fungi
- Tstaff
- Epic
- Seahorse belt
- rest of the slots: HP-optimized tunnel-bought gear worth a total of maybe 20k.

I cannot commit time to grouping or duo. My plan is to reach 60 and casually raid maybe one night per week. To level to 60, I plan on finding a spot where I can kill a single mob for months while I'm at work, slowly grinding exp. It doesn't matter if it takes 6 or 8 months.

The spot should be relatively safe, the mob(s) should not need to be chased (ie: fleeing), and it should be consistently killable with my gear. I will be doing it from work, so I cannot really actively run around and at any moment I can be forced to FD and Alt-Tab. I'm sure many of us have been in this spot.

I'd like to hear your suggestions about spots / zones. Ideally it would be a fast(er) respawn spot, ie: not 30 mins. At 55ish I plan on doing LDCs or HS North Wing, but I need to get to 55.

What I've tried:

- 30 minute respawn timer spots - plenty of those available through Norrath. But it's just WAY too freaking slow. We're talking years there, not months.

- Sol B - requires involved play for kobolds (casters can spawn, heal through walls, must break rooms, can flee). At 51 I'm too low for LDCs.

- LGuk: fleeing problem

- CoM: while an interesting candidate, the problem is ground floor is too green (or goos require splitting), and 2nd floor is too tough at 51.

Share your ideas!

The bats zoneline in SolB. Did you try that? I only see you mention LDCs and kobolds. The bats are far easier (the lava beetles are much rougher, despite being similar level, but both are easier than LDC).

Hole Entrance - chicken nuggets 4tw, sweet zem...did my paladin all the way to 55 there iirc. And ya never know whos gonna come through to group up with.

Although idk about runners and lack of root, would prob have to finish mob, run back to ent, flop, etc. You'll figure it out.

After that greens out prob LDCs.

edit: well fuck me nvm read the rest of your post...BORING

Nobles / bards / isa in hhk. Best xp by far until 55. And ruining the faction is overrated. Not a big deal. You actually get esorpa faction by killing nobles which is arguably more convenient. Not sure how camped this is on green tho it was chill on blue

I've got the same setup item-wise. My favorite place so far is Kelethin Guards on my 52 Monk, if you don't mind the faction hits. Pretty good XP and money. Can easily sell and buy bandages. Can also practice safe fall. I always jump off the platforms and pull them into the forest to avoid adds. Would require a bit of running around though, since you need to go up and down the platforms. You need to sneak every time you go up the elevators.

You could also try Felwithe guards, but those are usually more popular. I was able to kill them on my monk when I tested it. Less running around, but more FD splitting.

Bloodgill were great from 48-50. Did that on my monk. Not sure if they are still great 51+. Bloodgill level range is 35-39 according to wiki, so it will probably be somewhat luck driven as to how many level 39's will spawn.

Might be able to squeeze 1 more level out of blood gills, but kind of not worth it if your swimming is ass and / or you don't have a bone earring laying round. HHK is 100% the best exp until like 56 because of the ZEM (at 55 you have to kill everything though including Dyrna) and decent plat. Basically you want lower HP warrior / rogue mobs level 38-42. On that note, Hole ent fits the bill, but the casters / random nameds that spawn are a fucking buzz kill on a monk (knights can fear kite / stun and otherwise heal through the bullshit), so bring some pots and what not. If you like the hole, you can move up into the castle at 54/55 to do the big elementals on the balcony.

I think you can do Kanthurn and Taia in Lake Rathe maybe till 53? Maybe 54, but not sure. 6:40 spawns, no faction no loot.

After that if you're looking for a single spawn it's probably Grik the Exile in Swamp of No Hope. 6:40 spawn and you can basically do him to 60 if you want. You will slowly go insane doing this, but XP is XP. Only downside is he's pretty heavily camped since other melees will also be trying to do the same thing you are.
