You can easily charm to 60 in the Everfrost bear pits or Chardok. Quadding in TD (raptors) or WL (suites). Dot rot anywhere else.

If you are trying to keep up with a group that can’t keep aggro on a single person, and that person is flimsy, it can be rough. ES legs heal 200hps in 12 seconds which is the equivalent of 6.5 fungis, with regrowth that’s 7.5 fungi’s on the main tank. Considering people solo geos in the high 50’s that’s certainly enough healing for a group that knows what it’s doing (especially with PoTG, c2, a bard, etc).

I don’t buy that any class is a bad raid or group class, some compositions work better, some classes scale without diminishing results, and some classes bring little to nothing for specific fights. If 10% of your raid force in ToV is Druid’s that’s not ideal but it’s better than 10% shamans in Kael. If you have no Druids in PoF charming monkeys that’s rather silly. Moderation is everything, if it doesn’t make sense swap to something that does or play a class nobody will criticize having more of (clerics and rogues).

Turning off the rain in growth $$$

Also, there is that awkward point in charming where bear pits is still too high. Go to Karnors and offer to pull. I did that for a few levels. Was a hoot. Hardly ever used harmo unless i was sneaking down and grabbing pawbuster room / splitting hands.

KC druids refuse to cast regen as they need to save mana for heal.

And monk/rangers apparently refuse to pull. I think a lot of people just want to get to 60 with minimal effort.

It's really disappointing how little effort most Druid players are willing to put into groups. Yes mana can be an issue for the class but over half of the Druids I've encountered in PUGs have refused to cast a 25 mana snare on fleeing mobs or broken charm pets and make no effort to get everyone in the AE for Pack Chloro or such. When there's no Enchanter to mez everything Druid is one of the better alternative CC classes, and in any outdoor zone Druids are one of the best pullers. But the amount of Druids I see stuck on their ass medding 90% of the time only casting Chloroblast on the 4.5k hp tank is overwhelming.

I had a blast in KC on mine pre bear pits. Had to convince groups to take me, but once I got in and took over pulls it was lights out on any negative stigma. Lots of "best druid I've ever seen" type comments.

I was a menace, though....and geared to the tits so I had a ton of AC/HP to take some whacks. The competing groups did not like me one bit.

Some basics:
- pull macro, please for the love of god tell your group how many mobs are coming

- actively track for warlords (T staves) / named mobs - er'body loves named mobs

- poach everything you can get away with from all other competing camps, especially warlords...nobody expects the druid to be a mob sniper

- only harmo the big pulls like full hands pop or pawbuster room...if you're looking at at a 4 mob pull just snare 1 and scoot, if you can 360noscope fast-cast-root a 2nd on the way back to camp, great...or just body pull and let the chaos ensue in camp its fun this way

- get a feel for how quick mobs are dying, spawn timers, and where mobs are popping next...you want the next 2-4 mobs coming into camp when there are 1-2 left

- snare the damn enchanter pets

- wear your fungi you have stashed away on an alt, swap to SS BP for clicky regen

- dont waste mana on healing the tank, save it for all your utility, or top yourself off before going to collect more merbs
