So in the beginning Perun explains to his guild that he is a developer type, helping test out VP with his buddy Xzerion. He also explains that because he is a developer, he needs to use ShowEQ.

Okay so. Perun is a developer helping with VP and "other attributes", and as such needs ShowEQ

He then goes on to explain that he "thought" we might be kiting Talendor, so he loads up his cheat program to make sure we aren't screwing him out of his mobs that he deserves? I mean, he's already pretty much told us above, he's a developer!

and the last bit I find especially hilarious...

First he says he doesn't want to put all the weight on his guildmates' shoulders. I mean, Xzerion has been very clear in the past about their no-bullshit policy on cheaters and cheating, so.. instead of bowing out like a man and not making Xzerion look like the most giant asshat on Project 1999, he puts up a poll asking his guild members to make this extremely hard choice for him and the leadership? Why not just follow your original stance?

So he's also trying to say, he used ShowEQ to tell we were kiting Talendor, and his guild didn't ask how he knew where a mob that was being kited was? Or how he could say for sure it was kited? (btw, Talendor can be anywhere in the zone if someone does a bad AE pull)

I'm sure everyone else will put together the other pieces for you, what it comes down to is this. If we're playing in TR's sandbox, just tell us- otherwise, man up and level the playing field.

pretty sure when i read when i read "i was helping develop" it was for the private VP server, not on p99's

You make some valid points Loly but I think saying Perun explained he was a developer type is misleading. A tester would be more accurate wouldn't it? When they asked top raid guilds to beta test on live they were asking for just that testing. Perhaps that is what he was asked to do along the lines of being a 'top' player. And just because someone has showeq loaded doesn't mean they were never a skilled or top player before said use, they could still have and probably have useful and helpful knowledge and or insight. A map showing mob movement could be very insightful indeed. I just sound ignorant when I petition mob pathing is odd, it appears they are doing this and they tell me I am wearing a tin foil hat. If I actually had a map loaded I could tell for sure but then I would be a cheater, bleh. We need a police force of people using said programs and monitor areas/players to detect shady movements!

Now did they prolly get the info directly from Xz to make said Private VP so Perun could check the same type information that Xz was checking. most likely.


So was Perun checking stuff directly on the p99 VP? no. Was he checking stuff that is supposed to be exactly like p99? yes.

It is an excellent way to get a leg up on competition and to figure out ways to exploit certain areas before your competition knows anything about it.
