It may be in poor taste, but it wouldn't be the first thing in poor taste on the server.

Even with an abortion rate 3x higher than every other group, their population is still skyrocketing though.

When your country (this is aimed at Africa) is impoverished and depends on your own farming for your very survival, populations are going to keep rising by necessity. I hate how people argue that giving them condoms is going to do anything. That contient has some of the most fucked up and corrupt governments in the world (aside from North Korea) that nobody ever talks about or does anything about.

It is a normal guild name. Holocaust is not just a word about one single topic.

If the name was "The Holocaust" or something more direct I could see a point.

Holocaust is a lot better than Grindcore imo. And I feel that we shouldn't lose words or symbols to the nazis. Already we've lost the swastika, and holocaust is a word that describes more than just The Holocaust. It's very appropriate for the VZTZ guild.

The word was around way before WWII and means massive destruction. I think it's a perfect pvp server name. If we argue about this or don't accept the name then we're going to have a lot of char names to change as well I'd imagine.

I think it's fine so voted yes. Generally, I support free speech. IF people want to think a holocaust never happened then so be it. But yelling "Fire!" in a theater is not free speech. My opinion is that the negatives of free speech are less worrisome than the negatives of an overly big authoritarian government.

But to those who deny the holocaust in WWII in which millions of jews died, I hope someday you're answerable to your stupidity and ignorance. For that reason alone, I hope there's a god waiting just for you.

There's no way to fake something like that. Far too many people have come back and told their stories. Far too many were lost. Far too much racism in the nazi party. Far too much sh** going on. If you think that they can lie about all of this then you got your head up your butt and need somebody to fix your screwed up brain.

Now, that doesn't make us perfect. We firebombed Japanese cities and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians and literally wiped clean more than a dozen cities. The only sin those people committed (esp. children) was being born into the wrong country and being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Many of them might not have even supported the war, but bombs of this nature don't discriminate between a good guy or a bad guy. If we had lost the war, Japan would have prosecuted us for war crimes, including the use of nuclear weapons.

But I will say that the creation of Israel was not smart. With the termination of the British Mandate for Palestine and the UN Partition Plan in 1948, a two-state resolution collapsed. Israel was created on divided ground. In fact, there was a civil war already in play in late 1947 when the UN voted in favor of terminating them. In the ensuing year(s), over 700,000 palestinians were exiled as arabs in the region immediately declared war on the new state. In one way or another, this war hasn't ended. And for the foreseeable future, it won't, either.

Many of the arab nations and groups do not currently recognize Israel, and so long as they hold this stance, these conflicts and acts of terrorism will continue into the indefinite future. Because, despite that the UN might have been wrong in its action in 1948, Israel has a right to its national security. Continued rocket attacks and terrorism by palestinian and jihadist and other arab interests are a direct attack on Israel and the only way Israel can respond is to attempt to contain the threat. This attempt by Israel to exert its own national security threatens the very existence of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Israel is simply trying to protect its borders and it can't do that if it's forbidden from entering into the West Bank or the Gaza Strip. The "illegal" settlements in the West Bank are simply a result of them desiring security. This is a real dilemma. A recognition of a Palestinian state is a great thing to do, but, as stated already, if the palestinians cannot engage true peace with their neighbors then statehood is meaningless. They must desire peace, first.

...now, zoom into Israel and make sure that nation borders and names are showing. Without this, you won't see the borders for the West Bank or the Gaza Strip. Take in all of the geography and proportions. Look at the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, carefully. These're where conflicts are happening, as we speak. No doubt, the Palestinians felt short-changed. Israel has more land and greater access to the important parts. But one thing to keep in mind is that all of Israel is about the size of New Jersey (the state). The Gaza Strip is tiny. Smaller than most counties in the US. Even the whole of Israel is smaller than some counties in the US.
