Question Question on game bot detection.

So I run a bot on my computer for a few tasks daily. I don't use it for EQ as that would defeat the purposs of playing the game.

But if i have the bot running software for me in the background of the game would the game detect it and think I was using it for EQ?

If so every time I play should I just turn off the program?

Don't want to get banned for a violation I didn't commit.

Thanks for all future insight on this!

Supposedly they can only detect like MQ and stuff if you are using it on the game. If you're asking without using the words if you can get away with cheating I'd say definitely not.

Turn it off while you play EQ.

I think the GMs have the ability to see what processes are running on your machine through a dll. If the process is not EQ-related, I'm not sure whether they would take any action. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong though.

But Ssleeve's suggestion is probably good advice.

Yeah i'll just go the safe route. The program i'm using is do-it-again. Very basic simple program, very useful though!

Don't cheat.... on your video game, Cheat... on your wife.

I believe they can only detect MQ. Programs for macros and auto clicks aren't detectable but if they catch you using a macro or whatever while AFK they'll drop the ban on you.

Why would you tell people that programs that are bannable are not detectable?
