I believe the problem is not that the name is offensive or that Portsche gives a damn about the copyrighted names. The problem is that if you have /trackplayers on, Gorenaire shows up white as a PC, also Gorenaire the dragon would be white (even con to a 60).
The whole purpose of creating Gorenaire was to put him in DL to troll TMO. Obviously I'm smart enough to tell the difference when I'm tracking, and I know how to type "/tra off", but the name should be changed due to the malicious intent of the character.

Look at the screenshot he (OP) provided and see where this Gore char was. It's like a level 32 tracker in EJ, not DLs. So there is no way it can be mistaken as a level 60 dragon named Severilous, that is what I found funny about the petition. I did agree at the time and have changed that trackers name since. The only thing it can mess with is a sound alarm from a 3rd party system when they log in and pop up on someones tracking list. Or unless someone is really retarded and falls for a green con player, then hey they should be laughed at by their own guild.

How about not petition for a name that breaks the rules in the first place? Not only do I have to answer your petition about it, I then have to explain as to why I can't give the last name, then people want to argue about it.

As example the only one I came across last night was

It's like having someone named Captainbrowneye petitioning someone training them. Guess whats going to happen? And yes this happened. Want to bitch about "Rapedust" "Smokesweed" or some other retarded "Kingofthebitches" last name being changed, how about not having the last names in the first place?

As for first names I have changed there have been 11 of them. 1 was a level 60 who should have never the name in the first place(Amelinda told me to), and the rest below level 10. I'll be sure to cry myself to sleep when people break rules and get called on it.

I agree the naming policy has been lax the past few months. Amelinda was the only one guiding on the server so she couldn't see everything. Now I can help and correct what I can.

That gore character is mostly in DL, every time i've seen him, it's in DL.

On a tracking list it shows up white b/c it's a player, not green.

But everything else still stands besides me being stupid about track colors and how PCs show up.

you should call them out for the fact that all trackers can remove player characters from a tracking list.

I think people just like complaining to GMs and be lawyers at LOL because they feel GMs aren't being fair overall so they cling to minor issues they can make a case for to try and strong-arm the GMs into doing anything.

I decided I did not want to have a surname so I petitioned to have it removed. Ambrotos showed up, was very pleasant and removed it for me. He then turned me into a Dark Elf and my pet into a female Dwarf. It was great.
