![]() Personally I'd like P99 to put up another 8-10 servers, rename them to things like Fennin Ro, Prexus, Tunare, Nameless etc. We can do that right?
Then we can all go onto our relevant servers, recreate all our old guilds...and maybe we can tell Amelinda what gear we had around Kunark and she'll level us to 60 and give us what gear we said we had. That would make P99 so awesome...! \o/

![]() No offense, but expecting a new server just because you do not want to have any competition in the end is not an excuse for a new server.
It just means if you want to compete better... have stricter recruiting.. require raid attendance and police these rules.. and practice practice practice.. help people learn and get more resist gear.. do the work instead of expecting a move log and a fresh server..

![]() I don't know why everyone gives a shit if OTHERS would like another server (Like it would ever happen either way).
If you like it here stay here, I for one find this server incredibly bloated with platinum and extremely top heavy level wise. I think a new server could be a really neat idea for people who didn't get a chance to start in the first year or so to experience some content without having to join already established mega zerg guilds. (prefer not /movelog thing though a real fresh start is all I would be interested in)

![]() What about next year, when you've levelled to 60 on the new server and the 300 people on your one want to move to a new one? Would you be cool with 150 leaving?
You're right, it probably won't happen. If we make 800 servers, we can all be the supreme ruler on each one... right? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Classic servers had the same problem, inflation was part of classic. Top end population being heavy was part of classic. As a guy levelling into the 30s on one toon and 20s on another, I'd hate to see a new server... because mid-game is sparse enough without a mass exodus.

![]() how about we just instance each zone for the special guilds to be able to raid in w/o having any competition. then you can come out of your "Special zone" and gloat about all your sexy pixles

![]() I think making a new server would be silly. 700 people at peak times is arguably not even enough to fill the Kunark zones - we could easily have an additional 300 people really.
The problem, though, is that the vast majority of players on P1999 used to play live. When you combine that with the slow progression (no insult to the admins, they have jobs and social lives I hope), and the fact that every detail and strategy is known in advance, most of the population is 50+. A new player who joined when Kunark came out on Live would probably not even make 60 by the time Velious was released, whereas now new players join and head to L60 within a few months. So I think there is a problem. As I've said before I think the real solution is just some extra server reboots, which not only add more mobs to the economy, but also give the non-uber a chance to get some raid mobs while the uberguilds (well guild singular now I suppose) are busy elsewhere. Quizy, and TMO in general: I know you guys are feeling good about crushing VD underneath your boots. Winning at anything, even the most silly things, is never easy, but lets be very clear on one thing: killing raid mobs on P1999 is 99% time/dedication and 1% skill. As was shown today when Acyrid/BDA/Taken killed Gorenaire, the only thing stopping the rest of the server is the fact that not everyone is willing to interrupt their real lives on a moment's notice to go slay a raid mob within 5 minutes, and most of them are in TMO. So I think it's entirely reasonable for people to want to enjoy the endgame without having to commit 50% of their life to this game, but it just doesn't happen on this server, which is why I simply accepted that I'd never get a lot of the items.

![]() A lot of ideas have been thrown out there about different ways to improve the community. This is just another one. One that would actually fit into the classic feel should they decide to do something like this. Please don't assume peoples reasons, anyone for any reason may want to be on a server with the same rules but different environment. The environment is made by the player base.
