This is pretty interesting. I've read some Salvatore and enjoyed it, but as an author of what I generally consider pulp I never assumed he was capable of thoughtful commentary. my fault for judging a book by its cover

I have met him many times and I play at the same gaming store as one of his sons..... he really is a good guy and I have seen him at countless Redsox games. he is sooo down to earth and very humble

he's my favorite author I started reading his novels over 15 years ago when I was 10, and my favorite Homeland came out the year I was born (87). If you ever have any sort of opportunity to get an autographed book by him that he could sign 'to knuckle' id paypal you $200.
