Game Mechanics: West Teleporter in Hole ports to Neriak Third Gate

The West teleporter in The Hole took me to Neriak Third Gate (neriakc). It should be porting to the Paineel tower (and it was, one patch ago).

maximum. what is your race/class? the reason I ask is because perhaps your client had trouble accessing the map files on ur HDD temporarily, which may have sent your character to his "home location" (not bind). I know enemy guild abuse this bug to port (and it can even summon your corpse out of VP) on red.

it was well documented in the Mellowyellow <Azrael> thread that reached 100 pages and then deleted. based on the way things get "cleaned up" here I should have screenshotted it all.

Regardless, why would the server let the client "zone" the corpse under any circumstances, without checking for GM powers.

The Wednesday server reset probably fixed it.

My party members experienced the same thing on Sunday. We had erudites, dwarves, dark elves, and half-elves all take the West portal and end up in Neriak.

Just stepped on the west teleporter and was taken to Neriak Third Gate.

Can I get a loc of the teleporter in question?

The room with the three teleporters is +46, +346, -385

The west teleporter takes you to Neriak Third Gate, the east teleporter takes you to Erudin Palace, and the north teleporter is completely non-functional.

Not sure which should be which, but it sounds like people are pretty sure of west going to Paineel. Anyone have a resource for this info?
