![]() Like the title says I am looking for some enchanter charm spots besides the monotonous caiman/crocs and karana beasts. I am currently 18 and I am looking for some good places to level, preferably indoors for the xp bonus.
I know there's other threads similar, but I looked high and low and could not find a thread specifically for good charming spots. I was considering maybe the spiders in guk, or perhaps guards somewhere? Currently at nektulos forest but I don't think the guards spawn often enough to make this a worthwhile location. Any info would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

![]() Enchanters solo wherever the fuck they please. At 18 you should be able to handle the easier parts of guktop solo np at all.

Also, don't be so hasty to ignore outdoor zones. Indoor areas may have an xp bonus, but they also tend to have caster mobs, tough pulls, and sometimes they are overcrowded. An outdoor zone with an excess of mobs to pull, and zero risk of death, can net you better experience than some high-zem areas in the long run.

![]() You're prob too high for my two fav low-lev charm spots: minos in SF and sisters in LFAY.
But, you're at a good level to start getting in Unrest groups...

![]() Chanter alt is 13 now, and I've been steadily doing the Bandit camp in WK. The 4 in the tents, then a short run over the two on the road with one that roams inbetween.
Plus sashes = bronze weapon per turn in in Qeynos. So you can make a little bit of profit. Also with SoW pots / J Boots you really can't die unless you make a big mistake. And you can safely AFK med near the river. After 16 I want to try either low end of Befallen or Guk Top. I can do crocs ok in UGuk right now, but with the trains / lack of mobs it's not worth it. Once I can move to spiders and get into a safer spot, the exp should flow.

![]() I just leveled my enchanter from 18-23ish at/around scryer in LGuk. Some grouping, some solo. Could have stayed longer. After that I went to check out Kunark.. giant fort in WW is ok but crowded, I ended up killing some animals in OT by the WW zone line (a bard who was aoe kiting stopped by to tell me how terrible at the game I was.. friendly bunch, aoe kiters). SK aviaks are easy pickins too at that level if it isn't crowded.

![]() I found the overthere... up against the western wall a good place to charm solo. The reason being that rather than keep killing your pet, you fear kite (yes without snare) and it works fine. The mobs tend to stay close to the wall and you dont get adds. Give your pet a couple of weapons so he dual wields, and haste and he will finish off the mobs in no time.
Dont worry about the 50% penalty or the crappy zem. You will mobs very quickly with no downtime. You will get plenty off xp. Cactus's seem pretty reliable as pets. I suppose anywhere you can fear kite without adds is a potentially good place. It just depends on how the monsters tend to path and you need to experiment for that. That said, I fond charming to be rather hit and miss at low levels, and extremely frustrating. To kill dark blues you need to be charming mobs reasonably close to your level, and you don't have a decent tash for either MR amount or duration. After you hit 20 and get a better tash it becomes much better, tho the fact that you still need to charm mobs relatively close to your level makes it unreliable. I guess some people will enjoy it. Me, I found it about as pleasant as hitting my head against a wall. At high levels a charmed pet is great in a group. Charms regularly last for the full duration once you have the right spells and good charisma. MR debuffs from other classes help immensly too.

![]() Also want to add at lvl 13 the Bandit Sash quest is great exp too. I know it's to low for the lvl mentioned here, but any other newbie enchanters around 11-13 should definitely check them out. Lulling seems bugged with the 2 on the road (even with lull they both come), but nothing a root wont fix.
60% exp on them netted me about 70p and a extra 14% exp.

![]() If you can get a port to Toxxulia, head on over to Paineel! Especially if an enchanter is your first character or you're wanting a plat camp over an XP camp.
Charm a Paineel guard in the newbie area to get a key (say "keyz" to him), and head on down with your erudite illusion. (cancel charm on the newbie area guard and mez/mem blur - those 2 have about 1 million HP, not worth the effort to kill). The two at the base of the lift are the lowest level (and on a longish respawn), then I think it gets a bit more tricky, there's 2 more by a door in the grassy area that respawn faster, with 2 of the same level outside the SK guild (literally through the aforementioned door). Bank on site, vendor on site (benevolence to get them to sell to you)... not the fastest XP but you'll make some plat at least [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
