There was a special on discovery last year that we found a body of a mermaid on a beach, the special went on to show how humans possibly split off one being land based and one evolving into the oceans. The only "proof" they had is this unknown bloop recording which scientists believe is caused by a marine mammal but it doesnt match anything weve ever found and its complexity is off the charts.
they recently did a new special saying that theyve found more proof, in a live interview with the "dr" the op posted, its basically the same theoretical stuff with cgi movies. The entire point the last special was that 2 scientists went somewhere deep in a sub pinging the bloop sound out seeing if anything would respond, the 2 of them are on camera in the sub looking around when something hits the sub, they pan over and see a humanoid hand against the glass and in a flash a body swims away.
