I think you've missed the point...
I too have been hit by this bug. The issue isn't that you cant meditate anymore... the issue is this I lost my level because I lost a fight... So when I lost the level I was at 8% manna (not enough to cast a spell) so I sat down to rest up and regain my manna so that I could make a few kills and regain my level. However every time I stood back up (even several minutes later) My manna bar instantly dropped back to the 8% I was at when I died and lost the level. The temporary "work around" for this bug is to remain standing until you regain your level. which as you may know If you play a caster might just well mean 20 to 30 minutes between fights!!
