How P99 almost pulled an SOE circa Vanguard, then blew it

The Nizzar slap on the wrist reminds me of the time the hack program chromasome became prevalent in Vanguard. The hax were used by Ebonlore, a major zerg that talked shit on the forums all through development and presented the only significant challenge to the white knights of Xanit K'Ven.

At one point the hacking got so bad that most of the legit players at the high end stopped playing. Then, out of nowhere, SOE did something I never saw coming. They disbanded Ebonlore, deleted their guild hall and permanently banned all of the known hackers. Re-subs were immediate. Couldn't believe SOE actually fixed the problem.

It's sort of like when P99 banned Nizzar except they didn't let them back after a week.
