This enthusiasm for teams is probably misplaced, but at the same time, it may be the only chance for a decent population PvP server... And at least it is enthusiasm.

Red population hasn't done anything more than edge up temporarily no matter what change has been added. Maybe the damage that was done by the awful resist code and constant exploitation just can't be undone at this point. Maybe people can't justify sinking hours and hours of time into something legitimately when other players did it in a few minutes by exploiting.

For the last 2 years this server has just been one exploit after another, but it is in a pretty decent place right now, and could possibly be really legitimate by next patch. Fuck it, call red99 a beta test and relaunch. Even if teams only hits a population of 300 it is a hell of a lot better than where we are at now.

PS: When you see a big number of logged in players on the p99 home page, log yourself into the game and do a /who all class count. That will show you the exact number of players actually active on the server and it is always about 15-20% lower than what is publicly displayed. Last week when we showed 190 players at the login server there were 158 actual players in the game.
