Something I've seen BDA do in VP to get COH mage to the top of the picture room and in permafrost to get to Vox's lair from the alternate cave.

windowed mode:

character has a levitate buff

you click off the EQ screen

you click back to the EQ screen

your character is a little higher in the air than he was before.
