you know we also pay more for goods and services than most south african nations, but its not quite as bad as france or the UK

Politicians are douchebags, whatever you get payed, it's up to us all individually to make sure it's what we damn well want. No government is going to do a good job protecting your wages without fucking it up and wasting money... its the fact that our government was a republic and the local governments didnt have their hand in the pie for 200 years that it was any good.
