Default That's what I remember...

A week or so ago I was in a group with a couple of Crimson Tempest folks and we were doing orc hill and then migrated into CB and did the cabin area. Was a good group and I had fun with it.

A couple of days ago I was in a group in CB and we were doing very poorly. Bad pulls, lots of deaths - Nobody's fault in particular, just the roll of the dice.

The next night I noticed that I had the same XP that I had started out with when I joined the ill fated group. Still halfway into level 10... So it was a wash and I was not in a mood to repeat it so I headed over to EC to see what was for sale. I checked the spam, nothing struck my fancy so I camped in the tunnel for the night.

<..Insert server roll back and XP bonus here..>

So I log back in last night and decide to gate back to gfay and see if I can get some XP in CB. So, I head over to CB and see an OOC for healer needed at wall (I play a cleric). So I head over and see one of the Crimson folks I was with the other night, Cyloc and I greet him.

The group leader is out and about and they ask me to wait for an invite. The leader comes back and about that time another cleric shows up that is 2 levels above me and they take that cleric. As they should. So I make a mild comment about getting outranked and head off in search of other adventure.

Cyloc dumps the group and chases after me and insists that he would rather be in a group with friends and convinces me to group up with him. We head over to the cabin and start pulling a few things. A few minutes later I see in OOC "What up CrushBone!" and it's an old guildmate from live.

So I have Cyloc invite them and we quickly fill the group out and spend the next 2 hours like a well oiled machine. Good folks, good conversation and just plain good old fashioned fun.

One of the things that I always liked about EQ was that I could never predict what would happen when I logged in. Last night was great stuff that reminded me of why I loved the game so much. It was the people. Shout outs to Cyloc and Lotan for forcing me to have fun last night [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
