pretty sure that was a large reason why the put in the PnP.
when I started on red it was a total shit show. if you won a pvp encounter, they'd bind rush, train, port in uber twinks and oor healers to assist, turn the tides and camp you. if you went down, it was in your best interest to just log off for a while or play an alt. people couldn't even be decent human beings when you'd ask permission to loot and scoot. this was not a rare occurrence, this was most of them. there was absolutely zero respect for peoples time, it was largely a big grief bonerfest and whoever had the most patience and firepower to call in. total waste of time, most of it wasn't real pvp. I played on TZ on live, and I played on most of the other prior pvp emulated servers and enjoyed them.. but really couldn't get in to this one. I am but one person, but several of my friends felt the same, and I have to imagine a ton more stopped playing there due to that shit.
the PnP is a good idea in theory, and it would work if people embraced it and flipped the switch to stop being assholes to one another, but you can't force that mentality on people that have already adapted to a die hard cut throat way of playing. I hopped back on after they introduced the PnP and it was just a bunch of people arguing non stop about semantics and work arounds and complaining. I have a 30 rogue in old world gear that I am looking forward to playing again at some point, but I'm kinda waiting to see how the server turns out and what the big plans are for it before I invest any time there again.
