dude are you nuts? I started playing 1 month ago, and dude, the feels.. its awesome! I have NEVER had a problem finding a group. Like are you, like walking into a zone, shouting CAN I HAZ GRUP? then zoning out if you dont get one in like 1 minuet? dude sit, sit and stare at the classic poly's, youll get a group. it just takes 10 minuets.. besides that's how long it took in classic. Seriously its lols when I hear peopel say they cant get a group, any zone has like 12 people in it at all times except maybe runneye... take your friends to that one.

Grouping is insanely popular in this game lol, maybe you're playing on red.. I dont know what youre doing wrong but man, this game is classic and AWESOME

*Edit* also, The epics, who cares? just enjoy the game, if you dont like groupign with people with epics, that is just wierd.. like dude wut? how does that effect you? You cant twink a lowbie out to be indestructable like you could in live, you can twink them out to have decent mid level gear though, but seriously does it matter? like the +150 Hp's they're getting could possibly be game breaking.

there are people that are good at eq, i for one am playing it the way I wish I could back in the day, as in kicking ass and getting fat lewt and enjoying the hell out of norrath while i ram my boot up its backside.

Also people who powerlevel for the most part are suuuuper respectful of other people, if you talk to them instead of maybe, /t redcondruid 'hey asshole stop training us' they'll be like 'oh hey sorry! yea I'll move!'

Seriously if you're not having fun on this server, you either hate EQ or have internet social problems, I'm sorry to be so blunt but DONT TALK SHIT ABOUT THIS GAME OR BOOT IN BACKSIDE

*edit edit* Sorry if I came off as over reacting, I probably was. Seriously you should just give it time, grouping takes time, its hard and you have to be committed, you cant quit if your group wipes 2-3 times trying to get set up, you have to stick to it, you have to tell people when and how long youre playing, and if you leave, you should try to find a replacment as you get higher in levels. EQ is a game that's all about what you put into it.

He plays during Australian times. EQ is a different beast at 4 in the morning EST.
