My older sister got married right out of high school (my parents were not happy), less than three months into her marriage, my sister came home with a black eye, She gave some ridiculous reason, I even made fun of her for it. As she walked into the house, my dad told me to get into the truck.

When we pulled up to sister's house, where her gem of husband was. Ole Tommy (Her husband) ran out the back door as my dad came in through the front door and he wasn't knocking. I have never seen my dad move so fast, he caught old Tommy trying to jump the fence and taught ole Tommy what it was like to fight a man, it was a one sided fight and I remember my dad saying "I didn't raise her for 18 years for you to treat her like this" with a few curse words added in.

My dad was arrested (kinda) until my sister agreed to press charges against Tommy, both cases were dropped and their marriage ended. Now my sister is remarried to good man (almost 20 years). Some may say, my dad was wrong in his action that day, I say he loved his daughter
