You hit on some good points but I will tell you one thing. In general, wildly successful people do not follow sports. It's a ritual most prevalent in lower/middle income areas. I have a friend who participates in 10 fantasy leagues, knows who ran a 4.4 40 at the last combine and could tell you without batting an eyelash every team that won their conference finals in the past 20 years. Same guy complains about how hard it is to get a job in today's economy.
Losers gravitate towards 15 year old elf simulator forums crying about being suspended ! I understand that is a generalization but as Adam Carolla says, they are called that for a reason.
