Good luck actually getting groups, I found myself begging for a spot more than I did actually getting XP. Something about that zone has people act like elitist asses about LOWBIE GROUPS so don't expect much if you aren't twinked or know the right people.

Probably have more luck in EC.
Part of why I love Everquest is that it is "self-policing". If you go the THE most popular zones, then your xp will often suffer because of lack of mobs to pull, extended group finding times, extended camp finding times, trains, and all sorts of things that slow down/stop xp. If you go to a NOT popular zone, you may extend your group finding times, but camp finding times/trains etc are a non-issue. Its all about balance. I personally enjoy finding a group, kicking back for 3 hours, and just grinding out xp while chatting it up, and reliving the olden days. I like it to be steady, and "boring". The #1 skill in Everquest that isn't tracked is group building. Building social contacts to people you enjoy hunting with, group composition, camp/zone selection based upon above criteria, and initiative to create groups. As you play and encounter more people you should be getting better at this. Take charge of your group destiny, go explore interesting things that no one else does, to hell if its not "efficient', its probably WAY more efficient than most people realize. We have all played this game for far too long, and we fall into our same old habits. Everquest rewards and forces you to innovate, to adapt, and change your tactics based upon conditions presented by other players. Go on an adventure sometime, you might find its more efficient!
