Dey run. Dey run and run and run and run. Dumgorf wonder how da little dwarfs run so fast with der tiny little legs. Dumgorf no can keep up. Dey keep slowing down to stay with Dumgorf, and Dumgorf try hard to run as fast as dem. It no work.

Da guards is closing in on dem. Dey gonna catch dem. Dumgorf can no run no more. Dumgorf have to stop and catch breath. Dey catching up. Greengrocer and Filbus stop, too. "LET'S GO," Filbus yell. "WE HAVE TO KEEP GOING. WE'RE ALMOST TO NIBBLEWITZ!" Greengrocer say, "come on, Dumgorf. Keep going. Please. It's just a little further." He put him hand on Dumgorf shoulder. Dumgorf push it away. "You go! You go widout me! Dumgorf slow you down!" Greengrocer look at Filbus. Filbus nod him head sadly. Dumgorf glad Filbus understand. "I can't leave you," Greengrocer say. "I can't. I won't." "You have family in da Rivervan," Dumgorf say. "You have to take care a dem. Dumgorf no can let you die here. You go. Dumgorf hold dem off. GO." Greengrocer hesitate a moment; Filbus push him and he start running. Filbus turn to Dumgorf. "Here," Filbus say, "I always carry some spares. Use these. Die well, and die knowing what it is you've died for. Greengrocer will never forget what you've done for him- and I will never forget, either." Filbus hand to Dumgorf a bashing club and a cutting sword. Den he go.

Dumgorf get a good look as dey run away. Dumgorf think about how nice da Greengrocer is to Dumgorf when dey in der little rooms, and how happy Dumgorf is the first time he hear da Greengrocer voice. Dumgorf think about da dwarf chops da Greengrocer give him to eat and how good dey are after eating da bad slice of meat dat taste like grass for so long. And Dumgorf think about da Greengrocer wife and little Greengrocers at home. Dumgorf turn to da giants as dey come running at him. Dumgorf smile real big. "Look," Dumgorf say, showing dem da shiny bashing club and cutting sword. "Dumgorf got da shiny weapons! Dumgorf a real basher now! AND DOSE WHO PLAY WITH DA BASHERS.... ALWAYS... GETS... BASHED!!!!" Den da giants swarm on Dumgorf.
