Being banned was something that was hard to accomplish on EQ Live, the same with being suspended. Here, simply looking at someone the wrong way will result in a 7 to 14 day suspension. The way staff and players interact with one another is just completely different than it was on live. Staff were not allowed to use internet slang, get involved in arguments with players, curse, etc. They were "above" the fray so to say. It is my personal opinion that staff should have little to no presence on the forums, should not be skyping players, IMing players, etc. They should observe actions in game, and act accordingly, notify the player as to why they are taking said action, and then have an appropriate review method in place. While staff are volunteers, so were guides on EQ Live during the Petition Era, which remained in place throughout the classic timeline this server strives to emulate. /duck
