Don't get me wrong. I LOVED Speed. I LOVED Terminator. I like action films. But look at Star Trek IV or I, not II. Maybe even III--I've not seen either yet. There's almost no fighting in IV. Yet IV was my favorite as a kid growing up. When I tried to watch Star Trek The Motion Picture it was always lost on me but still caught my imagination.

I'm not saying the new Star Treks are bad. After viewing hte trailers, I have to say they're what they're. But don't pretend for a second TOS is the same thing. There were episodes in TOS where almost nothing fast happens. Some seriously weird ones! Maybe a punch here and there, but that was it. The rest was slow motion compared to Fast and Furious. There're some TOS episodes with more action, but you still shouldn't be comparing them to Fast and Furious like you were.
