Probably not related, but the client uses absurdly weak encryption when sending credentials to the login server (specifically, plain old DES with a static IV and key of ALL ZEROES).
If anyone is in a position to monitor your network traffic when you log in, they could have your account name and password within milliseconds. Not that there's p99-targetting spyware out there (why bother) but... security on EQ is really not worth getting worked up about. | ||
