The thing about P99, is that it is an emulator to relive the nostalgia of playing Everquest the way it was ~16 years ago. Back then (highschool) I had time to sink in to the game and bicker over camps and sit around /lfg for hours at a time.

Fast forward 16 years, there's shit to do, (work, family, general adult responsibilities). I tried blue for the nostalgia and realized that playing 4-5 hours a week just isn't realistic. If I log on for a play session to level up and the camp is taken, it can take over an hour just to get to a new spot, that could be my night.

Although I'm pretty fresh on Red, it's nice to be able to log on and have places open to hunt, but not so dead that I'm just playing a single player game. On top of it, the people on Red seem to be extremely nice and willing to help out which is refreshing.

Not trying to judge Blue players, I mean if you are just getting in to Everquest for the first time and are 12-22 years old (or retired), have at it. For anyone who can manage to balance family, work, life and EQ Blue endgame I applaud you, because that is an immense task.

TL[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]L if you have 40+ hours a week to play an elf simulator roll Blue. If you are casual Red seems like a better option.
