Alternatives to Dead99: till a reset is forced, or the server dies.
With Dead99 fast approaching 70-80 people on at peak times ( meaning by the end of this year pop will be 30-50 ), here's a list of games that are out now, or due to be out this year that people can spend their time more effectively and efficiently.
These games are either classic emulated games from the days of good MMOs, or games that are trying to revive the MMO genre feel that many of us miss. 1) https://uthgard.org/home (OUT NOW) Uthgard is a Dark Age of Camelot EMU that is free to play and is emulating what is considered the greatest PvPMMO in existence. 9/10 vets all agree that classic DAoC IS the benchmark for what a PvP based MMO should be. It launched today and will settle around the 1.5-2k player base mark for the first year ( approx 700 people per side on at peak times ) 2) https://elysium-project.org (OUT NOW) Elysium,Classic WoW emulated server, old server is up with approx 10k players and a fresh server launching tomorrow -- we all know about this one. 3) https://pantheonmmo.com ( DUE THIS YEAR ) Pantheon Online: Releasing late this year, will launch with a PvP, and is been put foward as the successor to what EverQuest would be like in a modern era. Not that failed EQ2 attempt they rushed out to compete with Blizzard. Character animations are still in the works as they have stated many times other than that it looks rather good. 4) http://camelotunchained.com/v3/ ( DUE THIS YEAR ) Camelot Unchained: This one might be the big 1 boys; it's the successor to DAoC, 3 realm PvP, and you pretty much only level up in PvP. Animations look a bit shit atm, but I'm sure they will polish it much like in Pantheon. | ||
