Memellennials in the Workforce: A Generation of Weakeness

That's his worse video IMO. He has done some better stuff on corporate leadership.

First of all, there is absolutely no sign that millennials function at a lower level. It's all anecdotal BS...there's plenty of it with every generation.... It's only stuff like "millennials don't have stable jobs, cars, houses" that has any merit...its pretty clear a lot of that shit is harder to get and more expensive now -- no generational theory needed.

Second, this guy wasn't even talking about "all millennials ..." he's talking about the best and brightest rich kids mostly... doesn't take 2 mins to think about that one... "hrrrrmm maybe rich kids act entitled and like they have better options?"

How can you possibly understand a generation by only focusing on 20-something tech kids?

Finally, the participation trophy thing is purely fake...We all knew what "everyone is 1st place" meant...even when very young. We did not internalize any of this participation trophy shit to the degree the media would have you believe. We all knew some kids were smarter than others, better looking than others, tougher than others, better at sports than others, more money than others...but somehow a participation trophy decimates all of that?

This idea that Millennials "don't see the mountain" is also completely wrong. Most of them understand "the mountain," once they get in their early 20s...What they don't understand is why they have to work for free 2 years and blow a guy to start the trail. All with no guarantees its the right path!

I think its the opposite, Millennials know that their is only room for 6 people on that summit -- and they aren't going to be in the 6...it's not that they don't see the god damn mountain...its the opposite. They see the mountain all to well and understand its not worth struggling and clawing your way to the base..

The main thing that struck a chord was bad parenting to me. I resent how shitty the average boomer parent is. It's like it was all about them and how their kids made them feel. Most of them seem to have put almost no thought in the possibility of not having kids.
