umm https://wiki.project1999.com/Cougar_Claw_Earring is the way to go as a ranger.

more AC, +dex for procs and archery

15hp will not do anything for you unless you are lev 1, you can snare kite with a bow just about any mob that you can land a snare on, so 15 extra hp (or 30) is just wasted if the mobs don't even hit you.
