Mountains out of molehills.
Just let him get the second earring already, and see if he pays. If he does, case closed, and whining can stop. If he doesn't pay, then call him out, name and shame. If he doesn't pay up, then the farmer is not out any PP, just time. .......not that big of a deal. Personally, "loot rights" selling is a murky thing to begin with.
