![]() How challenging will you play?
Anyone else planning on turning off NPC names? In the dark, it makes hunting atmospheric and scary, especially in Tox. All you see are silhouettes moving against the faint line of the horizon, as you try to determine what they are by how they move. The one issue is sound. Rats have the same thunderous footfalls as ogres and will scare the crap out of you in the dark. I also strongly considered playing in 640 x 480 and setting the UI up close to how the original was. You can get remarkably close if you set textures to r-50 b-50 g-50 and the chat window to a nice tan color. The spell book is a tad big, but close enough to fill the window. My problem is that if I run in full screen the graphics become pixelated. Still...I'm thinking about it. And of course I won't use the internet. No checking maps, or quests. I even tried going super old-school and refused to look up spells. I'm planning on playing a chanter. I've never had one before. Most of these spells are just names to me. Color Flux? Taper Enchantment? What the heck are they? The only way to find out is to try them and see what they do. Anyone else? | ||
