Just because there are, doesn't mean they are normal.. or even close. ~.5% of U.S. adults identify as transgender, remember? that's 5 in 1000..

Genetic abnormalities are the most likely explaination for trans people. And thanks for the prevalence PDF. It changes depending on the source and you can't trust self report numbers to be reliable because being trans is still really stigmatized and theres a huge population of us who never come out.
