Interesting. I think it makes sense in alignment with idea of having a classic experience as this will put population number much closer to how a server actually was in 1999.
I don't know if I'll be playing anymore personally but it has nothing to do with the merger. Was sitting at the priest of najena camp all day yesterday. Sitting there for a pH with an hour long Respawn timer with like a 5% spawn rate or something for an item for a cloak that'll make no noticeable difference at all on my character and I had to ask myself - "why am I doing this? What even is the point?" The only conclusion I could come to was that it's all way too pointless.
