Sylvan berries

I just foraged a sylvan berries. Looking it up in the wiki, it appears to have value. In fact I found a forum post from several years ago in which somebody was offering to buy one of these for 100pp!

But neither the wiki nor anyplace else that I can find says what sylvan berries are useful for. They are not an unusually-good food. Are they a component for a major quest or something?
