![]() This is a real off-topic thread, so here goes.
As I'm typing this, I'm delaying the inevitable. I'm hearing scratching sounds in my ceiling of metal on metal. It's coming from a trap that I put in my ceiling a few days ago. Yes, you heard me correctly, ceiling. I live in a house that we sub-contracted ourselves (wife and I) 5 years ago. Just recently, we've been having a flying squirrel problem. How do I know? Well, so far I've caught 3 of them. They have somehow found an entry point into our house (which I haven't found yet) and have made it their home. Some night it sounds like a dozen of them rattling around in the walls and ceilings, but I know sounds are magnified so it might be 2 or 3 of them. They seem to have nested in the attic because that's where I found droppings, but they somehow found a way to travel between the first and second floors of my family room. I've recently discovered how. I have a 7.1 home theater in my family room with 7 speakers in the ceiling. I am now grateful I made this decision because they provide just enough room to get a trap up there. I caught one of the squirrels two days ago, and another one seems to be caught now. My wife just said she knew these speakers would come in handy one day! I guess I'm vindicated. Anybody face this problem before and have suggestions? | ||
