Sweetie, Detroit is fairly unsalvageable, and dumping a bunch of money into is isn't going to foster a strong work ethic among the indigenous peoples of Detroit because everyone who had a strong work ethic in the Rust Belt has since left for opportunity elsewhere. The vast majority of it's remnants are not the bootstrap type if you know what I'm saying.

I think the nation building experiment in Detroit would work better than the one we just witnessed in Afghanistan. Id love for us to balance our budget and invest in infrastructure and other things that matter, but if we’re burning money, id burn it replacing the pipes in flint, Michigan, before I used it to pay salaries of corrupt officials and soldiers in Afghanistan who fold like a house of cards when faced with goatfuckers in Toyota Hiluxes
