I know plenty of Republicans (including myself) who don't view it as bullshit, in many cases despite voting for him in 2024.
The legislative branch performs the initial investigation and then decides whether or not to refer it to the Justice branch for further investigation and possible charging. That's how the system works, but understandable some people might not be aware of that since many schools don't do a good job of teaching students how the government works. It's also not one sided, it's a bipartisan committee lol, and Trump was the one who told the allies he has in the Republican side of the legislature to have nothing to do with it...he had the opportunity to have representation by Republicans that he personally likes instead of the Rs that are on the committee and turned it down.
