You definitely don't need halfling guards to solo as a cleric.

I remember doing unrest then oasis spectres. I found groups would happily take a 39-44 in kc basement (I didn’t reveal my level and no one ever died). The xp was fast. Then I hit Seb , but that seems a dead zone these days.
