It's best to not trust ppl anyway. And then if you do only trust them so much. And certainly keep your expectations of others low.

I wasn't sexually molested that I can remember. However I treat everyone and everything like a dangerous predator. Especially if it's bigger than me or has sharp teeth or claws. Or can operate a vehicle or shoot a gun or open a vial of poison or set up a tripwire and some spikes.

Basically I just keep myself mindfully aware at all times and I practice zen. And I only sorta am able to let my guard down when really alone and hidden or barricaded away from others.
